The Mount Locust Inn is a historic building in Natchez, Mississippi. It is best noted for being Mississippi?s only remaining frontier inn and one of the oldest structures in the state.

Built around the 1770s, the Mount Locust Inn has been an inn or ?stand? since 1780. It was built by John Blommart along the Natchez Trace and served as a welcome stopping point to travelers who are making difficult journeys. It survived the American Revolution and later became a plantation house when foot travel stopped along the Natchez Trace.

Considered as one of the most significant historic sites in the South, the Mount Locust Inn was acquired and restored by the National Park Service. It was included as a feature of the Natchez Trace Parkway.
