Located in Tupelo, Mississippi, the Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo is considered as the largest zoological park in the city, having a size of 175 acres or 0.71 square kilometers. The park was founded by Dan Franklin and is home to a rare white Buffalo named Tukota. Tukota was actually born in the park, making it one of the most special animals who dwell at the Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo. White buffalos are so rare that the chances of one ever coming out are 1 in 5 million. A herd of American Bison roam inside the park, and in order to see them, people ride modified buses with large, off-road tires called the Bison Bus. The zoo is also home to some exotic animals such as kangaroos, hedgehogs, wallabies, and the java macque.
