The Walter Anderson Museum of Art provides an enchanting and unique experience to its visitors. The Museum is dedicated to celebrating the works of Walter Inglis Anderson, an American Master, who depicted plants, animals, and people of the Gulf Coast. His depictions have earned him a spot in the forefront of American painters of the 20th century. He shares recognition together with his brothers, master potter Peter Anderson and noted painter and ceramist James McConnell Anderson.

The Museum?s permanent collection is able to represent the three artists as it features watercolors, drawings, ceramics, oils, block prints, and other artworks that have been made by them.

The Museum?s interior uses a sky lit warm southern yellow pine on the ceiling and a main gallery supported with 2 additional galleries that echo the natural beauty and simple feel of its setting.
