Crowder State National Park and Crowder Lake, a lake that surrounds it are named after an officer in the United States of America Military. Maj. General Crowder was born and grew up in the vicinity near the park. Visitors are treated to lush green hills and imposing ravines of Crowder State Park. Visitors and tourists, both local and foreign can make us of campsites and picnic areas. The camping areas provide modern amenities like toilet, restrooms and cold and hot showers. The picnic areas offer 2 playground facilities, number one is located in the camp area and the other one has a picnic shelter. There are 2 picnic shelters and they are available for reservation at the starting rate of $30 on a daily basis. The enclosed picnic shelter can be reserved for parties, receptions for different occasions, or reunion and family gatherings for a fee of $40 per day. They are furnished with a toilet and restroom, cooking gadgets like stove, sink and refrigerator; heater and fireplace. Sports activities like hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting are offered in this park. Indeed, a perfect getaway from city life. Come and visit it!
