The First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site is a state park and historic site in St. Charles, Missouri. It is located near the Missouri River and the Katy Trail State Park.

Established in 1960, the First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site is best noted for being the first state government of Missouri. It was used initially as such from 1821 to 1826, even before the Jefferson City was designated as the state capital. It was used by Missouri’s first legislators as a meeting place to discuss the creation of the state’s previous government to a new progressive system.

Visitors of the First Missouri State Capitol State Historic Site can tour the restored building. There are interpretive displays available and the admission to the site is free.
