The Raytown Historical Museum serves as an extensive research center that features the history of Raytown as well as the families who have lived in the area. The Museum depicts these significant events and people who have helped shaped the town through photos and written information that can be accessed by the public. The Museum allows the people to share their family histories to other people in order to efficiently promote the appreciation for Raytown?s cultural and historical heritage.

Through the Museum?s numerous impressive displays and printed information sharing information on the community, the people who live in it, its schools, government, and churches; it is able to honor the past. The Santa Fe Room within the Museum now features a special display focusing on the first fire station in the town.

The Museum, operated by the Raytown Historical Society, also serves as a medium for creating special programs and events that further intensify its significance to society.

It hosts school tours, educational tours and even class reunions. It offers DVD?s, and books as well.
