Completed in 1914, the Saint Louis Cathedral, also popularly known as the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis, is one of the top landmarks in Missouri. Aside from being a wonderful architecture and place of worship, this basilica is also known for three things:

1. The mosaic, which is the largest mosaic installation in the planet, with 83,000 sq ft of mosaics that took 76 years to finish.

2. This Basilica also has a museum located in its basement. It showcases the church?s original organ, which is well known for its huge size and age (being created in 1915). Aside from the musical instrument, people can also go and see the tombs of the former cardinals and archbishops of St. Louis.

3. The Angel of Harmony sculpture is another thing that attracts visitors to Saint Louis Cathedral. It measures up to 14 feet in height and made of stainless steel and granite. The work of art?s main message is the importance of peace, harmony, and racial justice.
