This Katy Depot is one of the stations of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad in Missouri. Located in Sedalia, the station first opened in 1873. The building was designed by Bradford Lee Gilbert and features a stunning exterior made of Georgetown Quarry limestone.

The Katy Depot operated as a passenger train station until 1958. Today, after being acquired by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources in 1987, it became a part of the Katy Trail State Park.

The public venue offers various activities, including biking and walking trails along the old rail tracks that were removed to accommodate light traffic. There?s also the Sedalia?s Welcome Center, that features the Heritage Exhibits. Sculptures representing and celebrating Sedalia?s history can also be found on the old station?s grounds.
