A Carousel for Missoula is a carousel attraction in Missoula, Montana. It is located in the downtown Caras Park inside the Dragon Hollow.
What?s so special about A Carousel for Missoula is that it is volunteer built and hand carved by participating individuals. It all started with the frame of the 1918 Allan Herschell-Spillman Company carousel that got to Missoula through a local carousel enthusiast, the cabinet maker and craftsman, Chuck Kaparich, in 1991. This gained attention and so the creation of the carousel?s other parts became a community project.
Completed in 1995, A Carousel for Missoula got a number of attractions for Missoula created and established. Today, it comes with the Dragon Hollow Playarea, transforming the site into a magical playland.
