The Castle Museum is a large mansion built by Byron Roger Sherman 1892. It is made up of 12 large rooms with hardwood floors, covered with Oriental and Belgian rugs. It is currently the home of Meagher County Museum, but it is more commonly known as the Castle Museum. The museum features the way of living coming from the time period when it was built. Included in the exhibits are furniture, clothing, mineral samples, as well as artifacts from area within the region.
For some time, the castle was in a almost abandoned, when the Meagher County Historical Society purchased and restored it to its Victorian splendor. In the 1990s there were additional structures added to the structure. The Castle Museum is open to the public May 15 to September 15 each year.
