The Copper King Mansion is a Victorian bed and breakfast inn that was built in 1888 by Butte local William Andrews Clark, who was considered one of the trio of Montana?s Copper Kings.
At present, the historical 34-room mansion is managed by the 4th generation of the Cote family. Through the Cotes? efforts and revenues from bed and breakfast accommodations and tours, the Copper King Mansion remains to be the state?s only privately owned but publicly open historical mansion.
The mansion?s master bedroom suite was once the bedroom of Senator W.A. Clark and boasts of original sycamore woodwork as well as a burled walnut bed. The room has its own bathroom and sitting place and two fireplaces. Other rooms in the mansion are the family suite, Andrea?s room, Huguette?s room, and the butler?s room.
