The Frontier Gateway Museum can be found in Glendive, Montana. The displays date back from prehistoric to the 20th century. There are exhibits showcasing fossils, buffalos, Indian encampment, cattlemen, white settlers, railroads and some displays regarding the Civil War. Most the exhibits in the museum are donated of loaned by the locals.

The displays are all historical and usually arranged chronologically. There are also special displays of medieval armor and carved figures from local volcanic rocks and many beautiful gowns from different eras. There are also murals that illustrate the history of Glendive and other nearby areas.

Besides the main facility, there are also two local stores, a blacksmith shop, a wagon shed, a log cabin, a restored local Montana school and farm machineries. Below the exhibit floor, the museum had built a shopping area that was made to look like an old Wild West area. They also have a dentist?s office, a doctor?s office, and a military recruiting stall. The entrance to the museum is free. The guides are very friendly and are very knowledgeable about local history.
