The Ghost Art Gallery is a really interesting site to visit. Aside from its excellent art works that commonly features the state’s finest artists, it is also located in the heart of the historic mining district of Helena. It is actually even housed in a former bordello known as the Big Dorothy’s brothel.

The story of the site’s early beginnings is also very interesting. It was named as the Ghost Art Gallery as it used to only present art works that depict the buildings and themes of the surrounding ghost towns, so it was called “Ghost Art”.

Established in 1974, the Ghost Art Gallery is a great resource of local works and even titles.
