Formerly known as the Grizzly Discovery Center, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center is a non-profit wildlife park, preserve, and educational facility. It was opened in 1993 by Lewis Robinson, initially as a home for bears who needed to be removed from the wild for being too familiar or aggressive with people. The wolves were added later on, when it was sold to the Ogden Entertainment.

The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center was threatened to close down in 1999. Luckily, three long-term managers decided to form a non-profit corporation and acquired the zoo, with the help of the US Department of Agriculture.

Today, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center works closely with the Yellowstone National Park and continues to improve and develop.
