The owners of the Museums Bill and Ramona Hold are both natives of Montana. They were involved with professional rodeo for roughly about 35 years. Bill Holt was an announcer and Ramona was a secretary and contestant. Bill and Ramona raised their two boys on the ranch at the city of Lolo. Aside from being busy from rodeo, they were also busy with ranching, agriculture, logging, adult camps, youth camps, tourism and historical preservation.

Bill and Ramona Holts have been collecting different artifacts all throughout their married life. Their collections reflected the story of cowboys and their equipment including western boots from celebrities and the progression of diverse saddles and tack. Included in their collection are Nez Perce, Salish or Kootenai and Crow which are Indian artifacts.

Today, the Holt Heritage Museum houses authentic artifacts from the old west, and by visiting the museum you will be brought back to time with their wide collections and displays that reflects the old times. The museum also welcomes bookings for special functions or meetings and you can get to enjoy their specialty and the Cowboy Chuck where serving dinner is their specialty.
