Also known as the Old Lewis and Clark Bridge, the Lewis and Clark Bridge in Wolf Point, Montana is just one of the many bridges with the same name in the region. It was dedicated in 1930 after the requests of the locals were granted by the state.

Funded by the state of Montana and the Federal government, the Lewis and Clark Bridge was only constructed after a tragedy has hit the community. Back then, people used to just drive over the frozen Missouri River to get to the other side. The Cusker brothers sadly broke ice and died from doing so while going home from a basketball game one fateful night in 1926.

For a time, the Lewis and Clark Bridge was the most massive structure of its sort in Montana. Today, though, it?s not used for its original purposes anymore. It is now a state historical site and is maintained by the Montana Historical Society as a monument.
