Every late October, for two days and three nights, Missoula, Montana gets into a whole frenzy of celebrating books, writing, and reading. Known as the Montana Festival of the Book, the event has already become quite a tradition with more than a decade of bringing readers and writers together.

Initially established as a simple event in the late 90s, the Montana Festival of the Book is now one of the biggest Inland Northwest cultural festivities. It features a series of smaller events, ranging from poetry readings, meet and greets, book signings, panels, demonstrations, tours, to exhibits. It is ideal for almost any age, as anyone who reads can find a good deal of fun activities here.

Some events in the Montana Festival of the Book come with a fee, though. So make sure to check the schedule details in advance.
