The Rocky Mountain’s natural, paleontological and cultural history is on display at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana. In association with the Smithsonian Institution and Montana State University, the museum aims to collect, preserve, chronicle, and display the history of Montana and the Northern Rockies.

The museum contains the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the US. It is famed for possessing the largest Tyrannosaurus skull ever unearthed. Part of the Montana Dinosaur trail, the museum serves as the authority and official storage of new paleontological discoveries. The museum also contains archeological artifacts from the early humans and animals in the Rocky Mountain region. One of the museum’s exhibit is titled “Enduring Peoples”, a study on the lives of early American Indians in the Rockies. Other museum attractions include the Tinsley House, the Taylor Planetarium and other “touring exhibits” associated with the Smithsonian Institution.
