The Rattlesnake Recreation Area is a national recreation area in Missoula, Montana. It was established in 1980 through a bill passed by the US Congress and is administered by the Lolo National Forest.

The Rattlesnake Recreation Area covers 61,000 acres of land area. It is considered as a premier urban wilderness in the state, as it blends in the background of the developed city of Missoula. It offers more than 73 miles of hiking trails that are also open to mountain bikers, horseback riders, and cross country skiers.

A few words to those who are looking forward to visiting the Rattlesnake Recreation Area, though: it is home to several wild creatures. Sometimes a grizzly bear wanders around, but occasions like these is very occasional.
