The state of Montana is well known for its colorful American heritage. In fact there are several Indian communities here that proudly display their culture to visitors. And if you want to learn me about them, then the Rock Bo Indian Reserve is the places that you want to visit.

The Rocky Boy Reserve serves as the home of the Chppewa Cree tribe. The reserve was established in 1916 under the Indian Reorganization Act. The name of the reserve is actually a mistranslation of the name of a tribal leader, which was supposed to mean “Stone Child”.

Visitors to the reserve can go around several shops that sell Chippewa crafts and items. There are also several centers where they can learn more about the tribe’s art and handicrafts.
