The Rocky Boy Reserve serves as the home of the Chppewa Cree tribe. The reserve was established in 1916 under the Indian Reorganization Act. The name of the reserve is actually a mistranslation of the name of a tribal leader, which was supposed to mean ?Stone Child?.

Visitors to the reserve can go around several shops that sell Chippewa crafts and items. There are also several centers where they can learn more about the tribe?s art and handicrafts.
