The Upper Musselshell Museum is housed in 2 buildings on Central Avenue. The 2 buildings, the Times Building and the Marshall Building, were built before 1909 using locally quarried sandstone. The Times Building originally housed a wholesale liquor business and, eventually, a bank, laundry, caf?, a barbershop, and many more. In 1987, it became the museum?s first building. The Marshall Building was first a hardware store before it became a dry goods store, livery, blacksmith shop, department store, and many others. It was purchased in 1996 to house the second-floor exhibits in 2010.
The Museum features both changing exhibits and displays that offer ever changing stories about the Upper Musselshell Valley and its people. It also features its own library and volunteer programs.
