The Venus Alley is a historic area in Butte, Montana. It is best known for being one of the last openly tolerated red-light district in the American West.

The Venus Alley?s fame started the 1880s, when the city started to boom as a copper mining town. In order to cater to its working force, hundreds of saloons and gambling halls were established. Along with this is an urban prostitution district, located in the center of town. It has a distinct design and architecture, aptly made to better cater to its patrons. The area closed down in the 1970s.

One of the last remaining examples of what the Venus Alley was like is the famous Dumas Brothel. It currently serves as a museum open to the public.
