Virginia City & Nevada City are two historic sites in Montana purchased by the city of Helena in order to preserve and showcase their great heritage. Both areas are known for being historic 1860s gold mining towns and are excellent examples of a well preserved Old West Victorian town.

When visiting Virginia City & Nevada City, you?ll see more than 100 historic structures that are filled with artifacts and historic furnishing. It allows you to step back in time and feel as if you?re in a Wild West movie set, complete with traditional saloons and restaurants. There?s also a 1910 steam locomotive, known as the Overland stagecoach. You can also enjoy the Nevada City Music Hall, which features the largest collection of historic music machines and other instruments that is open to the public.
