The Western Heritage Center is a regional museum located in Billings, Montana. It features displays and exhibits that tell of the life in the Yellowstone River Valley.
Partnered with the Smithsonian Institution, the Western Heritage Center was opened in 1971 to showcase displays that will help visitors and locals to learn more about the area and have a deeper understanding of the region. It is one of the six Montana museums that are accredited by the American Association of Museums.
Housed in the former Parmly Billings Memorial Library building that was completed in 1901, the Western Heritage Center tells of a lot of history, not only through its displays but also through its location. It is open on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 5 pm.
