The Bemis Center for Contemporary Art is a museum featuring modern art styles. This museum was founded by several artists who believed that exceptional and unique talents should be supported. Most of the artists and exhibits in this museum are recognized for their work through local, regional, national and even international award giving bodies. It is not a wonder therefore that the Bemis Center is known as one of the country’s premier artist’s colonies.

It is today directed and managed by Mark Masouka, an internationally acclaimed artist. The museum supports what is known as the artist-in-residence program. This programs supports by studio spaces, accommodations, as well as monthly stipends for deserving artists from all over the world. The Bemis Center presents more than 20 cutting-edge exhibits yearly.
