The Buffalo Commons Storytelling Festival is a festival that is award winning and brings together the best artists on stage, whether poets, storytellers or even the best of musicians in the land. It celebrates the extraordinary talents of people living just ordinary lives. It is held every initial weekend right after the celebration of Memorial day on a yearly basis.

The event is organized on an annual basis by the committee of the Buffalo Commons Storytelling group which is also a subgroup of the entire McCook Arts Council. Right under the wing of the event, it also holds a story book project that is meant to come up with stories that would be published over the net and eventually be printed in a book.
