Situated at the heart of Adams County in Nebraska is an art deco edifice that aims to preserve and ?bring to life the natural and cultural history of Hastings, Adams County and the Great Plains of Nebraska.? The Hastings Museum of Natural and Cultural history was founded in 1939 with a noble goal of showing the current and future generations the treasures of Nebraska.

The Museum is currently open to visitors. They can view the various galleries and exhibits within the building such as the McDonald Planetarium, Lied Super Screen Theatre, and various local, regional and international exhibits. The famous juice drink, the iconic Kool-Aid, was invented in Nebraska and it now has its own interactive exhibit in the Museum named Kool-Aid: Discover the Dream.
