The Neihardt John G Center is a branch museum of the Nebraska State Historical Society managed by the John G. Neihardt Foundation. The Center features the memorial room, which chronicles the life of John G. Neihardt, his works and years in which he lived.

John Neihardt was an American author of poetry and prose who is also known as a visionary thinker possessing deep spiritual insight. As the author of twenty-five volumes of poetry, fiction, and philosophy, he was able to inspire people and somehow pass on his wisdom and legacy. The Nebraska Legislature elected Neihardt as the poet laureate of the state. He held on to the honourable title for 42 years until his time of death.

Visitors to the Center can view videotapes in order to see and listen to the poet. The Center also houses a research library offering scholars and researchers the opportunity to examine, review, and browse through his works and works about him. These include copies of Neihardt's manuscripts as well as his critical essays.
