Made in order to preserve the history and heritage of Beatty, Nevada, the Beatty Museum and Historical Society is something worth visiting. It conserves and manages the Bullfrog Mining District, today a ghost town but somehow a bustling area during the gold rush era. Here you can learn a lot about the lives of the miners and workers during the 1900?s.
The area of Beatty has had a great history that will make anyone interested, established in 1904; it was home to some of largest gold rushes in the west. Today an additional research center is being organized to help students, educators as well as the general public learn more about the area. It is open for group tours which can be arranged ahead of time.
