The Cave Lake State Park is open throughout the year and best known for its camping facilities as well as for its fishing, hiking, boating, and crawdadding. The 32-acre park is located over 7,000 feet off the ground, affording it with extraordinary views of the Humboldt National Forest. Visitors won?t have to fear for lack of activities during the winter as the park is also one of the top spots to visit for ice fishing, ice skating, and cross-country skiing. Last but not the least, visitors mustn?t miss the annual White Pine Fire and Ice Show as well as the various snow-sculpting events held at the park. Serious anglers, on the other hand, are sure to enjoy Cave Lake?s healthy stock of rainbow trout ? just make sure you have the necessary license and trout stamp before you start fishing!
