Located in Reno, Nevada the Francis G Newlands Home or also known as Senator Francis G. Lewlands House is the former home of the United States Senator Francis G. Newlands. The mansion was constructed in the year 1890 it design followed then the famous Shingle Style of Queen Anne Victoria architecture.

This mansion was the first ever to be constructed overlooking the Truckee River in Reno, Nevada. Later on, the entire area called Newlands Heights. Moreover the mansion next door is another house to marvel as it is too is listed under the National Historic Places for its unique a colonial architecture. The house was listed as a National Historic Landmark in 1963 then later on listed as part of the National Register of Historic Places in 1966. It is however owned privately and not open for public viewing.
