The Hispanic Museum of Nevada was is an ethnic museum which was founded in 1991 with the vision of getting recognition for the diversity of the Hispanic culture as well as show the richness of their culture. Another major goal for the establishment of the Hispanic Museum of Nevada is to show the contributions of modern Hispanic artists to the world.

The biggest mission for the museum, known locally as ?El Museo Hispano de Nevada? is to enhance the intercultural connection and understanding while raising awareness and educating the rest of the world about the importance of the Hispanic people.

Tourists visiting Nevada can check out some of the exhibits for the Hispanic Museum of Nevada. This includes different art exhibits featuring the works of emerging and seasoned professionals. Guests can expect a different exhibit for every visit as the museum just does not focus on one area of art. Other mediums and forms include photographs, textiles and pottery. One such exhibition that people have been flocking to see through the years is the ?Noche de Arte? gala which is usually held every other year. The event gathers local entertainers and guest speakers while presenting different artworks created by Hispanic artists.

The museum is also home to the Latino ?Short? Film Festival - the very first of its kind in Southern Nevada. The festival is traditionally held during the fall season and features winning short films from different national festivals. Throughout the year, visitors can watch different collaborative performances in the museum which is usually done with the help of other ethnic groups in the state.

The Hispanic Museum of Nevada is also a school for artists who have the talent and the potential in the future through the Rae Arroyo Art Scholarship. The classes aren?t just held in the museum but also in other community centers around the Las Vegas area.
