The Techatticup Mine was found in 1861, and soon became the most important mining site soon after that. By being a great source of gold ore, it was able to generate millions of dollars immediately. As the mine opened, it also called for an establishment of a mining town, where workers could live in.

When the Techatticup Mine shut down, the town became abandoned. Interest was triggered recently, though, when traces of gold were found still lining the walls of the mines. Sadly, even if the gold is still worth millions of dollars, getting it out would be costlier.

Today, the Techatticup Mine serves as a tourist spot for its rich history and wondrous marvels. Aside from the mine, people can also visit the ghost town and see firsthand the very set of numerous Hollywood films.
