Originally a trolley park established in August 23, 1902 at Salem, New Hampshire, the Canobie Lake Park was created for the use of Massachusetts Northeast Street Railway Company. Since it first opened, the amusement park continued its operations for more summers after that. It became famous for its moderate rides, flower gardens and esplanades. Moreover, the Dancehall Theater inside the park also became a popular destination for live entertainment. Known artists who performed there were Frank Sinatra and Guy Lombardo, latter stars are Cher and Aerosmith.
The Canobie Lake Park features more than fifty rides. Of course, an amusement park won?t be complete without roller coasters, a carousel and Ferris wheel. The carousel is antique by the way. Other rides include the log falls, a steam train, and other rides for kids plus food stalls, arcades, prize games, fireworks and a lot more.
