The Clark House Museum Complex is situated in Wolfeboro and has the 1820 Pleasant Valley School, the Monitor Engine Co. Firehouse Museum and the Colonial Style Clark House. The museum is a complete replica of the firehouse first built in 1862. Each of the buildings contains various ancient furnishings of every equipment.

The house was first built in 1778 and remains to be sitting on the 100 acre working farm land. It was Joseph Clark who first purchased it in 1817 from a widow who only used the house as some kind of a tavern. The tavern during the ancient days were considered as establishments for sleeping and eating, not so much the same as how we define taverns during these modern days.
