The Franco American Center works toward the preservation of the rich heritage of the French communities and the promotion of the area's history, culture, and education, with the understanding of its historic contributions as well as its past and current cultural and artistic expressions.

The Center has been a recognized as the primary catalyst to promote involvement among the community paying homage and celebrating the rich events of the Franco-American experience. Cultural programs such as exhibits serve as the medium by which the public develops appreciation for the history and heritage of the area. Inside the Center, visitors will be able to see the Beliveau Fine Arts Gallery that features the talents of artists in any medium.

People who visit the museum will also get the view the Center's French newspapers dating back to 1839. These 15 newspapers have been archived in their original formats and in microfilm. For visitors who aim to do some research, the Center offers a collection of 19th century books as well as an archive considered to be significant to Franco communities all over the world.
