John Sullivan House is a two-story L-shaped building made up mainly of wood located at Durham, New Hampshire. It was built around 1716, and it had been the home of the American Revolutionary Major General John Sullivan for more than ten years. Sir John Sullivan was later became the Governor of New Hampshire during his time. Before his governorship, Sir Sullivan was a member of the Second Continental Congress that instituted him as the brigadier general in the year 1775, serving under Washington and in independent command. During his service, he captured Fort William and Mary, leading four hundred Portsmouth Sons of Liberty.

Sir Sullivan withdraws his service in the Army in the year 1779 due to a health problem after his penitentiary campaign against the Iroquois of Western Pennsylvania and New York. Because of this, he run for governorship and served his elected position in New Hampshire from 1786 to 1790. James Sullivan's House was declared a National Historical Landmark in the year 1972. At present, a monument near the house memorializes the service of Sir Sullivan to the State and the Nation.
