The New Hampshire Farm Museum is a fifty-acre property that’s made up of two working farms: the Plummers Homestead and the historic Jones Farm. The place has numerous attractions and activities to offer. Nature lovers are sure to have the time of their lives exploring the property’s forests, fields, and wildlife while learning at the same time about the evolution of New Hampshire farming in over three hundred years. Those interested in learning more about farming as an industry and occupation will have the opportunity to meet common farm animals like pigs, sheep, and goats while feeding chickens and cracking corn using traditional methods. Those with green thumbs on the other hand can check out the flower, herb, and vegetable gardens of the museum and purchase the freshest produce from the museum’s country store. No need to worry about kids being left out of splace because there are exciting exhibits and activities prepared for them such as the Great Yellow Barn Hunt, the exhibit and programs featuring sleighs, wagons, and farm tools at the museum’s 3-story barn, and an exciting hike to an ancient family cemetery.
