The Northern Forest Heritage Park in the Androscoggin River Valley was established in 1994 as a non-profit charitable trust which aims for the preservation and interpretation working forest?s history as well as the celebration of the multi-cultural heritage of the Great North Woods Region.

The Heritage Park is a 3-acre site that offers access to waterfront and walkways. It boasts of an outdoor ampitheater, a full-size replica logging camp, interactive exhibits, and many more. The Site also has its own museum, the Brown Company House Museum, and the Artisans display gallery.

Visitors to the site will be able to view the forest, river and art exhibits offered as well as the lectures, seminars, concerts, and other major cultural festivals. The Northern Forest Heritage Park also hosts lumberjack competitions, special blacksmith demonstrations and other special events.

The Brown Company House Museum occupies a historic building built in 1853. It was originally a boarding house for saw mill employees. In 1929, a formal garden was installed on its lawn. This garden is currently undergoing a restoration process led by the Heritage Garden Club.
