The Pillsbury State Park is a state park and recreation area in Washington, New Hampshire. It is a massive park with more than eight thousand acres in area, but is actually quite a hidden gem as it isn’t as crowded as other state parks in the White Mountains.
Located in the Dartmouth-Sunapee region, the Pillsbury State Park is described as “one of the more primitive” parks in the New Hampshire system. It is also heavily wooded and lesser known, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t deliver a great time. Packed with a wide array of various natural areas, it is home to several kinds of wildlife and offers a great amount of outdoor activities like skiing, mountain biking, hiking, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, kayaking, canoeing, camping, and picnicking among other things.
