The Rundlet-May House was built by James and Jane Rundlet on a terraced rise. They filled it with fine furnishings and the latest technologies. Its kitchen boasts of a Rumford roaster and a Rumford range. It also has a set kettle and an impressive venting system that allows a smoke room to function on the 3rd floor. Visitors will also be able to see its coal-fired central heating system and indoor well.
All in all, the Rundlet-May House showcases family possessions that have been accumulated throughout the 4 generations of the family. Other things to look out for are the 1807 wall covering and furniture as well as the 20th century items that were added by the great-grandchildren of the couple.
The property?s garden also retains its original layout which contains planting that were quite popular in the Colonial Revival Period.
