The Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site was created in 1964 as a means to preserve the former home, studios, and gardens of one of United States? celebrated sculptors, Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The artist lived in this part of Cornish, New Hampshire as a summer home from 1885 to 1897, and permanently from 1900 to 1907.

The Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site was also the former location of the Cornish Art Colony. It is now operated by the National Park Service, and features two hiking trails, the main property, and the original sculptures made by Saint-Gaudens.

Declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1962, the Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site is a real haven for art history buffs that are also in love with nature and some adventure.
