The Warner House is the only remaining mansion in Daniel Street, which used to be lined with lots of elegant and big residences. Constructed in 1716 to 1718 and owned by Captain Archibald Macpheadris and future wife Sarah Wentworth, the Warner House is considered to be the era?s finest urban brick house in the region.

For 200 years, it has been occupied by the 6 different generations of its owner?s family. It has an amazing collection of early portraits and furniture from Portsmouth. Along the staircase, the earliest-known paintings in the country are displayed.

Today, the Warner House Association owns and operated the structure. Each room represents the different owners of the house including their social lifestyle, with many of the original family pieces still on display.
