The Wellington State Park is a well known state park and summer destination in Alexandria, New Hampshire. It is famous for being the largest freshwater swimming beach in all of New Hampshire?s state park system.

Situated by the shore of the Newfound Lake, the Wellington State Park features 204 acres of area. It provides visitors the access to one of the deepest and clearest lakes in all of the state. There are also several hiking trails and picnic areas available inside the park for some additional outdoor fun.

Acquired in 1931 for a single dollar, the Wellington State Park is designed to be kept forever as a public forest reservation. Seasonally open mostly during the summer months, fees are charged to visitors, except for kids under five and New Hampshire senior citizens.
