The Wright Museum exists for the preservation and of the stories of America’s greatest Generation and sharing it for the benefit of the future generations. It achieves it purpose by collecting, preserving, and exhibiting artifacts that illustrate the heroic efforts and contributions of the ordinary people who lived in those extraordinary times.

It is a non-profit education institution that is dedicated to the celebration of the sacrifices and achievements of Americans during the World War II. It also offers programs and events that complement and highlight these exhibits. Changing displays give visitors a chance to learn something new with every visit, particularly the fascinating stories such as those about the Secret History of General Mac Arthur’s Wet Ankles or Governor Herbert Lehman’s 1941 Cadillac.

The Museum contains three section, the home front gallery and theater, two-story Visitor’s Center, and the military wing that features exhibits focusing on all branches of the armed services. The military exhibition boasts of a large collection of fully-operational vintage military vehicles that include a 42-ton Pershing tank. At certain times, visitors can even enjoy rides in these military vehicles.
