The Belskie Museum contains a collection of art works pieces made by sculptor, medallic artist, and medical illustrator Abram Belskie. The collection includes drawings, medical models, sculpture, medallic molds, and completed medallic pieces that are complemented with Belskie’s personal library and archive.
The Museum was completed in 1993 and was donated by the Closter Lions Club to the Borough of Closter. It is run solely through the volunteers’ efforts and it receives funding through grants, memberships, donations, and exhibitions. The Museum also collaborates with the Arts Students League of New York and the Vytlacil School of Pleine Aire Painting in exhibition productions by instructors and students.
The Museum is open from Monday to Wednesday at 7-9pm and from Saturday to Sunday at 1-5 pm.
