The Cadmus House Museum if Borough?s official Museum. It is characterized as an old Dutch-style stone building that now functions as a museum containing historical artifacts pertaining to Fair Lawn. The Museum?s collection includes Native American arrow heads, uniforms from the World Wars, old farm tools and parts from the Hopper-Croucher farmhouse, as well as maps from the 1880?s. It also features 2 fireplaces that are emphasized by old cookware.
The Victorian Room upstairs contains period toys and furniture while the Fireman?s Room displays old firefighting equipment.
The Museum continuously acquires pieces to increase its collections. Among its recent acquisitions are 8 original drawings of historic Fair Lawn buildings that appeared on the Columbia Savings and Loan 1976 Bicentennial Calendar.
