The High Point State Park was first officially called a park way back in 1923. Its amazing landscape design was made by the Olmstead Brothers from Boston which belong to a very popular firm at that era. It is accessible for the disables and it is open on a daily basis. It has a monument called the High Point Monument that pays tribute to the veterans in war. It was constructed way back in 1928 and was finished in 1930.

The park also offers a wide variety of entertaining activities that are interpretative and proven to be educational especially for the youth. All these and more happen yearly and it is also a perfect spot for those who like nature hikes and some stream walks. All these are conducted by the assigned naturalist of the park. You can easily swim in the Lake Marcia that measures about 20 acres. It has very cool and refreshing waters for everyone to enjoy. There are lifeguards around to ensure the safety of every swimmer.
