The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture is a museum built in North Brunswick that aims to tell a concrete story about the history of Agriculture from the past all the way to the future of farming. The facility covers approximately 30,000 square feet.

The first signs of life for the organization began in 1984 when the organization that has continued to run the museum was founded as a non-profit organization. The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture first opened its doors to the general public back in 1990s and has continued to attract visitors of all ages.

The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture sports two different types of exhibits. It houses permanent exhibits as well seasonal exhibits. One of the biggest goals of the New Jersey Museum for Agriculture is to show visitors and locals alike the value of agriculture in our daily lives. The museum thus features people, products and technologies that changed farming in more than one way. There are also some exhibits that aim to introduce new technologies that will help in the speedy evolution of Agriculture not just for America but for the rest of the world.

The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture also holds monthly workshops and symposiums for local families in New Jersey and even for tourists just dropping by. The museum also caters to children?s field trips and educational tours. Through the use of the School Programs that has been established in the New Jersey Museum of Agriculture kids will learn the importance of agriculture. The unique agriculture based museum also offers summer camps that focus entirely on agriculture for young boys and girls from ages 6 to 11.

The museum is open from Tuesday through Saturday with doors opening at 10:00 in the morning. The New Jersey Museum of Agriculture closes at 3:00 pm. Ticket prices for adults is #4 while kids have a ticket price of $2.
