Originally built in 1648, the Spy House Museum is believed to be one of the most haunted houses in the US. It has been used for a number of different purposes in the past, giving more color to its history, and leading people to believe that spirits still lurk around the building.

The property got its name from when the time it served as a tavern during the Revolutionary War. British troops believed that spies hung out on the house to spy on their ships. The haunting, however, starts from the rumors that pirates used the Spy House for a time. At one point, 22 spirits are said to haunt the Spy House Museum.

Today, the house sits empty since the Spy House Museum shut down in 1993.
